AWE exists to discover, explain, verify and amplify people, solutions, research, policies and actions improving our environment. Ordinary people should be able to understand what is happening, who is working on it, who is responsible and what evidence shows.
AWE’s role
We find the people who know.
AWE does not claim to know everything. We examine sources, make specialist knowledge understandable and return to see what happened next. The people doing the work remain visible; AWE is the lens, not the hero.
The long view
Journalism that becomes public memory.
Each story can create structured evidence: claims, actions, responsible actors, sources and outcomes. Over time, those connected records can form India’s machine-readable environmental evidence layer.
Independence
Money cannot purchase a better result.
Sponsored work, partnerships and company-provided claims must be labelled. Commercial relationships remain separate from evidence ratings and editorial conclusions.
